HOUSTON - Morris E. Chambers, 86, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at 3:35 a.m. in his residence.
Born May 9, 1916, in Piqua, he was the son of the late Martin C. and Sarah W. Wion Chambers.
On July 19, 1952, he married Dorothy L. Bauer in Fletcher. She survives.
Other survivors include two sisters, Lillian B. Marshall of Franklin, Ohio, and Louise V. Spieler of St. Marys; two
stepsisters, Dorothy Leckey of Minster and Betty Shephard of Piqua, and one stepbrother, Martin C. Chambers of Piqua.
One son, one sister, one brother and a stepbrother preceded him in death.
Mr. Chambers was a member of the Mid County Church of Christ in Troy.
In 1939 he graduated from Canal Fulton High School in Akron.
He was a retired S/MSGT of the United States Air Force following 25 years of service. During those years he was an instructor
of Airplane General working at many of the Air Force Bases in the United States, England, Germany, and Puerto Rico. He was
a maintenance supervisor for the City of Piqua in the wastewater treatment plant for 16 years.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Jamieson and Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Oakes officiating.
Burial will follow in Houston Cemetery.
