Pearl was the daughter of Oley Johnson and Olena Mortensen.
Elmer was the son of Frederick Schneider and Susan Bicker. The stone was never updated to reflect his death on 21 March 1979. Elmer helped clear land for farming in the area that is now residential and known as Heatherdowns. He was also a partner in a family owned dairy business, the Glendale Dairy until it went out of business in the 1950s. After Pearl's death, Elmer married Gladys Flickinger.
