Arnold L. Newman, 72, of Urbana, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in his residence.
He was born September 20, 1935, in Columbus, a son of Ottis Alva and Cora Edith (Dixon) Newman.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra L. (Tracey) Newman, daughters; Beth Ann Hitt of South Charleston, Pamela Sue Bowers and her husband Ken of Marysville, and Anita Jo Newman of Urbana, a son, Van Alan Newman of Springfield, grandchildren; Jordan and Jacob Hitt and Joshua Bowers, a brother, Lowell K. Newman and his wife Joanne of Urbana, a sister, Janice C. Ervin of Urbana, seven sisters-in law, four brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jimmy Newman.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, April 26, 2008 in the Urbana United Methodist Church, 238 N. Main Street, Urbana, OH, with Rev. Dr. John Daniels and Rev. Phil Conrad officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
At his request his body will be cremated.
The family is being served by the WALTER-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, Urbana.
