Byron Harvey, born 26 February,1844 in Saybrook, Ashtabula County Ohio, the son of Harris And Esther Sessions Harvey, died 5 February 1863 at Nashville, Tennessee. Civil War Veteran, member of Co. C, 1st Ohio Light Artillery, killed in action during the battle for Nashville. This gravestone is symbolic only as Byron's remains were originally buried on the battlefield and later removed to Nashville National Cemetery, Davidson County, Tennessee, Plot E636.
Brother Alvin Jackson Harvey (Saybrook Cemetery) was assigned to the same unit, he survived the war.
