Sandra Lou (Smith) Tochelli was born in Springfield, Ohio, on June 14, 1940, the daughter of Harry T. and Irene (Walker) Smith. She passed away on October 21, 2014, in Springfield, Ohio.
She was married on September 1, 1957, at Liberty, Indiana, to the father of her five children, James W. Wright. Three of these have preceded her in death, Lonnie J., John T. and Jimmy D. Wright. The two surviving are Peggy Sue (Jack) Gibson and Terry L. Wright, all of Springfield. She is also survived by her present husband, Harold (Hal) Tochelli; grandchildren, Amanda S. Miller, Joy Gibson, Nikki Gibson and Jana C. Stanhope; 3 sisters, Fern Ropp, Barbara Ropp and Marsha (Roger) Payne; 6 brothers, Jerry (Judy) Smith, David Smith, Donald (Connie) Smith, Rodger Smith, H. Keith Smith and Stephen (Rebecca) Smith; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a 2nd husband, Charles A. Cook, three brothers, Robert, Alan and Larry Smith, as well as a great-granddaughter, Ceaira J. Wright.
Sandra finished her high schooling at Westville High School. She later got her G.E.D. certificate. She held various jobs, among which were the William Bailey Mfg. Co., and Drackett in Urbana.
She was the mischievous type and would do almost anything on a dare. Her special interests were playing bingo, her computer, knitting, tearing into anything that needed fixed, listening to country music and enjoying her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held noon Friday, October 24, 2014, in VERNON FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Costy Saba officiating. The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-noon prior. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Urbana. Memorial contributions may be made in Sandra's memory to the Caring Kitchen, 300 Miami Street, Urbana, OH 43078.
