Ruth Ann Gentis, 90, of Urbana, passed away, Monday, May 07, 2012 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 2, 1921 in Tremont City, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Kreglow) Gard.
Ruth Ann was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church and a past member of the Valley Garden Club. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed quilting and reading. Ruth Ann spent her life as a homemaker and the family farm was her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Gentis (special friend J. Kevin Lanich) of Urbana, her sons, Daniel (Janet) Gentis of Urbana, Richard (Dianne) Gentis of Piqua, Ronald (Sue) Gentis of Springfield and David (Sandra) Gentis of Urbana; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alton M. Gentis; brother, Donald Gard and sister, Mary Lou Gard.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012 in Terre Haute Cemetery with Pastors Chuck Glover and Joyce McKeever officiating.
