Wade Griffith, 90, of St. Paris, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, in the Ohio Masonic Home of Springfield.
He was born April 23, 1924, in Wheelersburg, KY, the son of William and May (Ferguson) Griffith. Wade served his country in the United States Army Air Corp. He enjoyed camping, bowling, fishing and Nascar races.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Paul Feasel of Urbana; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Eva Griffith of Vandalia; sisters, Edna Smith of KY, Judy (Gary) Meade of KY; grandchildren, Matthew Griffith, Josh (Dawn) Rader of Dublin, Joshua Davis of Vandalia, Kristen (Chris) Larrimore, Brynner Feasel; great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kamden; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Alka Griffith; second wife, Mildred Griffith; sisters, Edith Smith, Ruth Hill; brothers, Edgar Griffith, Mike Griffith; grandson Nicholas Griffith
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on December 22, 2014, in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, with Pastor David Yinger officiating. They will receive family and friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the American Legion Pearce-Kerns Post #120.
