Sam'l Myers Co. I 57th Ohio Inf.
Samuel W. Myers was the son of Jeremiah and Sarah Jane (Long) Myers.
He was born in Richland County 17 Mar 1843. He married Mary E. House, daughter of Jacob House, 01 Jun 1865 in Crawford County. Their known children were J. H. who died in infancy; Isabella; Edward A.; and Melville D. Samuel was a railroad engineer and died in a collision near Mansfield on 13 Mar 1874. He is buried in the Myers family plot of Section 14.
