Oliver Webster born May 06, 1735 Lebanon, New London Co, CT died 1816.
his wife,Patience Wright Webster born June 28, 1743 in Rutland, Worcester Co, MA, died September 1835.
They married March 25, 1760. He was a resident of Lebanon, Ct., till about 1770, when he removed to Worthington, Mass.
Oliver Webster served in the French and Indian War under Capt. Edmond Wells Co., as a private from April 9 to May 07, 1756. He was a Corporal of CT. Troops. He served in the Revolutionary War for eight months in Capt. John Mc Greiger's Co. , Colonel John Durkees Reg. CT. Line. At New Haven, CT. He was also enlisted from August 26, 1779 and was discharged on January 15, 1780. His name was on the Roster from September 30, 1779 to February 01, 1780. Muster of 1780 at Morristown, CT. His older brother Pelatiah born 1726 was "The Architect Of The Constitution." Also, Oliver Webster is a cousin to Noah Webster founder of the dictionary. He and his wife are the parents of 11 children.
