Abraham and Barbara (Myrice) Snyder were married in 1855 and bought a farm near McClure in Damascus Township where they raised their family of 12 children. Abraham was born in Berkeley Co., (West) Va. in 1821 and died in 1897. His wife, Barbara was born in 1833 and died in 1915
