John's tombstone was standing in 2000 the sunken grave next to his has a footmarker with the letters N.A.S. It is believe that his wife Nancy Ann EATON Stevenson is buried next to him.
Nancy Anne Eaton born 1803 Ireland and died in Salisbury Twp., Meigs Co., Ohio 04 Jan 1881. She was the dau. of Ephraim and Mary Eaton. John and Nancy were married in Raphoe 1st Presbyterian Church, Donegal, Ireland 17 Nov 1834. This was the second marriage for John.

The Rutland correspondent of the Pomeroy Telegraph says: Mrs. Stevenson, on Wolf Pen, who broke her leg some two weeks ago, was buried last Saturday, having been a sufferer with asthma. She was probably about 80 years old.
