There a question on his date of death. His stone says Dec 26 but his brother Oliver Smith Jones was with him when he died. O.S, said he died 29 Oct. Both parents are buried at the Talley Cemetery in Izard County, AR. The family was pretty much estranged due to the Civil War. Some of the brothers fought for the South and some for the North. We are not sure if he was in the war or not. O.S. had just been released from Johnson Island Prision when he came to his brother's home.
