Heinrich "Henry" Rohr 14 SEP 1811 - 2 Dec 1871
Heinrich and Margaret immigrated to the United States from Hessen Homburg Germany which is located south of the Nahe River between the cities of Bad Kreuznach and Kaiserlautern. He was employed there as a coal miner for 5 cents per day. They settled in Jackson Township, Stark County Ohio in 1840. There is evidence in the 1840 Ohio Census of a Rohr(er) family fitting the age/size of the family living in Bucks Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio. In 1850 this family is not found in the Tuscarawas County census. They may have moved to Stark County during this period.
