The orignal grave stone of Thomas Dye was damaged and tossed into a pile of other damaged grave stones. This grave stone was found and repaired and replaced by a township trustee. Whether Thomas Dye actually was named, or used, Sr., remains in question. In any regard the following fact is proven out by the grave stone: Thomas Dye (Sr.?) died April 8, 1858 in his 84th year of life. Simple subtraction 1858-84=1774 as his year of birth.
Born 1774 - Died April 8, 1858.
