Frieda N Siegenthaler, of West Liberty, died on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 8:33 am in Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
Born on Feb 19, 1928, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Herman Carl and Nelle (Hagans) Kaestner. On Nov 24, 1946, she married Vaughn Leland Siegenthaler and he preceded her in death on Jan 23, 1991. A former employee of the Graham Local School Board, Mrs Siegenthaler was also a typist/receptionist for Logan County Children's Services, retiring on Jan 1, 1994. While a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bellefontaine, she served on the Worship Committee as well as taught in the Sunday School program for many years. Currently Mrs Siegenthaler is a member of the Messiah Lutheran Chuch in Urbana.
Surviving are three sons, Vaughn Leroy Siegenthaler, Reston, Va, Duane Leland Siegenthaler, and Matthew L Siegenthaler, both of Urbana, Ohio; and two daughters, Ellen S Brautigam of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and Lisa R Turner of Rockport, Ind. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs Siegenthaler was preceded in death by a son, Glen, who died in infancy; and two sisters, Barbara Kaestner and Margaret K Cryan.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Spring Grove Cemetery, Saint Paris, Ohio.
