"Thomas Clark, 76, of 312 Kossuth St., Sidney, died Sunday, Oct, 11, 2009 at Dayton Veterans Hospital.
He was born Sept. 11, 1933 in Clarksville, the son of Ishmael and Rosa (Mattingly) Clark.
He is survived by four children, Mrs. Ted (Tana) Huston, Velina Bogart and Valerie Burks, all of Sidney, and Thomas Dale Clark of Pleasant Hill and his fiancé, Sara Whitacre; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two step-children, Mark Hardin and Miranda Anders, both of Decatur, Ala.
He is also survived by six sisters, Mrs. Joe (Bertha) Hadley and Mrs. Chuck (Phyllis) Rosenberger, both of Clarksville, Mary Ellen Woods of Hillsboro, Mrs. David (Genevieve) Cornett of Canal Winchester, Mrs. Mike (Ula) Strecky of Johnstown, and Alice (Paul) Rosenberger of Centerville; and three brothers, Virgil (Kathy) Clark, Herman (Gail) Clark and Jeffery Clark, all of Clarksville.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Layman Clark; and one sister, Wilma Jean Clark.
He served his country in the Air Force as a staff sergeant in the 87th Refueling Aircraft Squadron and was retired from Copeland Corporation. He loved NASCAR racing and especially Kasey Kahne. He was also a Relay for Life volunteer.
Friends may call Wednesday at the Adams Funeral Home in Sidney from 4 until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Elder Dale Dakin officiating. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery with full military honors
