1912 - 1929
Daughter of Emerson and Carrie (Wippel) BURSON
Flossie was 17 when she was in an explosion of a house in Athens caused by a gas leak. She and her 22 year old cousin, Franklin Rice, were badly burned and died days later. The landlord, C.E. Starr, was burned but survived. Flossie was a Junior in the Athens High School.
