Charles Roy Keys was born August 12, 1896 in Masslion, Ohio. He was a engineer with the railroads in Ohio, working for different ones such as B&O, W&LE, Nickle Plate. He married Mabel Bell Barr on September 17, 1917 in Steubenville, Ohio. He raised her son Kenneth from a previous marriage. He died on September 11, 1980 in Homestead , Florida. His wife Mabel Bell Barr was born June 19, 1888 in Steubenville, Ohio. They had a long marriage of 58 years. She died March 28, 1975. They are buried in Toledo Memorial Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio, in the town they made their home.
