Headstone for Bertee Nelson (inscription is on back of stone), Ray Nelson (inscription is on front of stone), and Harriet (Hattie) Nelson (initials H.N. inscribed). Harriet was the first wife of David Nelson, who is buried in this cemetery with his second wife, Callie Saxton Nelson. These are their first two children, Bertee and Ray. They also had a son named Otto Nelson, but when he was just 6 months old, Hattie died of consumption (tuberculosis). (I am Otto's great-granddaughter.) Hattie is buried here with her two children who preceded her in death.
