Obituary of Mrs. Belle Crooks Goodwin
Washington Herald, Washington C.H ., Ohio, Monday, October 23, 1933, Vol. 45, No. 249, page 3:

"Mrs. Belle Goodwin Dies Early Monday"

Mrs. Belle Crooks Goodwin, 72, died Monday morning at 6:30 o'clock at the home of her brother, W. L. Crooks, on the CCC Highway, a few miles Northeast of this city. Mrs. Goodwin had been in ill health for several years, and bed fast the past four months. In addition to her brother she is survived by two nieces, Mildred and Mayme of Columbus. The body was taken to the Klever Funeral Home, and will be returned to the home of her brother late Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the Klever Funeral home at 1:20p.m. Wednesday, and burial made near Greenfield.

Marriage Records Book 10 Fayette County, Ohio – 1914 – 1920 – Copied by Lelah Campbell published by the Fayette County Genealogical Society – page 8: “Goodwin, John D. married Belle M. Crooks on February 11, 1919.” Recorded in Fayette County, Ohio Marriage Records Book 10 on page 386.

Per Belle Crooks Goodwin’s death certificate, her spouse was Mark Goodwin who was deceased at the time of her death. Her parents were: Samuel Crooks and Nancy Jane Coffey Crooks. She was born July 11, 1865 in Pickaway County, Ohio. Burial date, October 25, 1933.
