Virginia Rickard was a daughter of Lewis Burr Rickard and Catherine Wood. She was born 22 Aug 1848 in Sangamon, Illinois. About 1866, Virginia married Elijah Mitchell, son of Moses Mitchell and Jemima Cartright. Virginia and Elijah had four children. Tragically, Virginia died before she was 29 years old on 25 Mar 1877 in Union County, Ohio.
