Deceased Name: MADDEN Hazel Roberta Madden
MADDEN Hazel Roberta Madden, 81, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2006. Born on September 11, 1924 and lived her life in central Ohio. After viewing the tragedy on September 11, 2001 she suffered a paralyzing stroke. Preceded in death by husband Edwin. She is survived by her children, Edwin C. Jr. (Lynn) of Newark, Gary L. (Kim) of Dublin, Donald E. (Delilah), Sandra K. (Clyde) Overturff of Galloway; ten grandchildren; and her sister, Katherine (Tom) Williamson; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a long time member of Westgate United Methodist Church. She had a strong passion for raising flowers. During WWII she served our country by building aircraft at North American. After raising her children she went back to factory work and joined her husband at General Motors' Fisher Body. In her retirement it was her desire and pleasure to be able to work in a greenhouse. Many hours were also spent volunteering for many Masonic groups. The family wishes to thank all the staff and friends at Columbus West Park Nursing and Vista Care Hospice for all the tender loving care provided to Hazel and our family. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 8, 2006 by Reverend Mandy Rice at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL and interment observed at Green Lawn Cemetery.
