James McKenna was born in County Armagh Ireland about 1803. His first wife is unknown. In 1848 he married Maria Smith in Monroe Co Ohio. She was the daughter of Zachariah and Elizabeth (?) Smith. James McKenna was the son of James and Anne (Sweeney) McKenna. In 1850 James and Maria had a 3 yr old daughter named E.E. who disappears from record. These three unmarked graves are listed in the sextant's book for Rainbow as James McKenna and two McKenna females without naming the females involved. James and Maria's home was on the hill overlooking this cemetery.
