Pauline "Polly" C. Case, 90, of Covington, and formerly of Fletcher, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, in her residence.
She was born in Vici, Okla. on Feb. 13, 1916, the daughter of the late Leland S. and Gladys Irene (Tucker) Carney.
She married Charles E. Case on Dec. 26, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1979.
She is survived by one sister, Bernice E. Hawes of Greenville; special caregivers, Joe and Polly Gillett; many nieces and nephews; a stepson, Jack Case of Kentucky; a stepdaughter, Joan Case of New York; and several stepgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice M. Hoffert and Betty M. Rung; and two brothers, S. Leroy Carney and Glen K. Carney.
Polly was a 1934 graduate of Vici Oklahoma High School. She attended business college and worked for many years for Wilson Public Accounting as well as being self-employed.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 1 a.m. today in the Fletcher Cemetery.
