Jack L. McDonald, 80, of Conover died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at 9 p.m. at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Conover, March 29, 1921, the son of Gordon C. and Bessie M. (Doss) McDonald. He married Madge Vest, July 7, 1951 and she preceded him in death Aug. 23, 1993. He his survived by a daughter, Mrs. Don (Joanie) Wright of Hilliard; two grandchildren; one brother and one sister. He was preceded in death by a son, one sister and two brothers. Mr. McDonald was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the St. Paris American Legion and VFW. He owned and operated the Conover feed Store for 30 years and also served as Brown Township clerk 36 years. Services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Suber Funeral Home in Fletcher by Rev. David Chivington. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery
