Agnes M. Bumgardner, 90, of 17867 E. Miami-Shelby Road, Fletcher, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at her residence.
She was born June 28, 1915, in Montra, the daughter of the late Phillip and Dena (Reineke) Kinninger. She was married Dec. 26, 1932, to Virgil D. Scherer. He passed away Nov. 28, 1951. On May 19, 1956, she married A. Gordon Bumgardner, who passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2006.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Hawkins of Fletcher; four grandchildren, Marcia Leiss of Fletcher; Mrs. John (Melinda) Henry of Tallmadge, Rick Scherer of Sidney and Ron Scherer of St. Henry.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arlington Kinninger and Delphos Kinninger; one sister, Luella Fahnestock; a son and his wife, Virgil Dale and Dora Scherer.
Mrs.Bungardner retired from Copeland Corp. in Sidney. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Troy.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today for both Mr. and Mrs. Bumgardner at New Hope Church of God in Piqua with the Rev. Phillip G. Elmore officiating.
Burial will be together at Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher.
