Caroline E. Hale, 56, of Conover and formerly of Houston, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m. in her residence. She was born Jan. 1, 1946 in Miami County near Fletcher, the daughter of the late Clarence E. and Isabella (Gabbard) Spencer. She married Charles E. Hale on March 25, 1967; and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters and their spouses, Christine Hale and Terry Didier of Piqua, Charlotte Hale and Ed Huelsman of Fort Loramie; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Irene Spencer of Versailles, Ed and Marla Spencer of Bradford, and Robert Spencer of Dayton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Colleen and Richard Seman of Covington, Wanda and Dale Adams of Fletcher; one half brother, Woodrow Wilson of Ft. Thomas, Ky.; and grandson, Rickie Fosnough, II of Fort Loramie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mert Gil and Mary Pullins; one brother, Virgil Spencer; and one half brother, Rufus Griffith. Mrs. Hale was employed by Orr Felt of Piqua and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 614, Piqua. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18 at Suber Funeral Home in Fletcher, with Chaplain Ed Ellis of Miami County Hospice presiding. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery.
