Shirley L. Pack, 60, of Piqua, mother of Mrs. Keith (Lynn) Gump of Sidney, died Friday, April 26, 2002, at 3:16 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born May 14, 1941, in DeWitt, Ky., the daughter of Jess and Martha (Carnes) Messer. On Aug. 31, 1964, she married Leonard Pack. He died Jan. 1, 2000. Mrs. Pack attended Emmanuel Baptist Church of Sidney and was a Sunday school teacher and vacation Bible school volunteer. Services are planned for Monday at 10 a.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Dewie Schell and pastor Phillip Brent Howard officiating. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery.
