Margaret Suber, 96, of Madisonville, Tenn. and formerly of Fletcher, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, in Loudon Healthcare Center in Tennessee.
She was born Dec. 12, 1913, in Shelby County, a daughter of the late John Thomas and Nancy (Millhouse) Dickensheets. She married George J. Suber in August 1941, and he preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1993.
Mrs. Suber is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and the Rev. Harold Bunch of Sweetwater, Tenn.; two grandsons and their spouses, George and Jennifer Bunch of Madisonville, Tenn. and the Rev. Roger and Rebecca Bunch of Sweetwater, Tenn.; and six great-grandchildren, Chase, Brianna, Lily, Kayla, Kelsey, and Kailea.
In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, Perry and John Thomas Dickensheets, a sister, Emily Jackson, and three stepsisters, Clara, Viola, and Elizabeth preceded her in death.
Mrs. Suber was a member of the former Fletcher Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Green Township High School in Shelby County.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Reverends Harold and Roger Bunch presiding.
Visitation for family and friends from 5-7 p.m. immediately before the service today. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Fletcher Cemetery.
