Darryl K. VanHook, 47, of 1204 Riverbend Blvd, Sidney, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at 8:52 p.m. at his home.
He was born on July 22, 1966, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Frank VanHook of Sidney, and the late Linda (Gregory) VanHook.
On June 30, 2001, he married Robin Huston, who survives along with four children, Andy VanHook, of Sidney, Brittney Rogers, of New Hampshire, Courtney and Alexis VanHook, both of Sidney, two stepsons, Chris Timmons and wife, Nancy, of Sidney, and Eric Timmons and wife, Destiny, of Bradford; five siblings, Tara Schemmel, Derrick VanHook, both of Sidney, Tommy VanHook, of Loveland, Danny VanHook and wife, Summer, and Beth Lee and husband, Keith, both of Sidney; 17 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brandi VanHook, and one brother, Tony VanHook.
Mr. VanHook was a supervisor at American Trim, where he had worked for more than 25 years. He was a member of the Vandalia Christian Tabernacle.
Darryl was a very funny person. He enjoyed singing in church for his Lord, hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, with Pastor Todd Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery.
