Aubrey H. "Huff" Huffman, 82, of Piqua, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 26, 1926, in Shelby County, the son of the late Harold and Clara (Hemlinger) Huffman.
On Feb. 15,1947, he married Mary Harp, who survives along with one son, William H. Huffman and his wife, Brenda of Piqua.

Other survivors include one grandson, Jason Huffman; a sister-in-law, Eileen Silvers of Sidney; brother-in-law, Don Harp of Piqua; and several neices and nephews.

Aubrey was a member of the Congregational United Christian Church of Piqua, where he was a trustee. Mr.Huffman was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, a life member of the Sidney American Legion Post 217, VFW Post 4239, AMVETS Post 1986, Sidney Elks Lodge 786, Newport Sportsmen Club and the National Rifle Association.

Aubrey was a mechanic for Whitman Used Cars for 40 years, retiring in 1990.

He helped and was a friend to all who knew him. His family was his pride and joy along with his Boston terrior, "Baxter." Farming with his son and grandson was something he enjoyed. He still liked to work on cars with his son and on day to day projects on the farm and at the church with his wife of 62 years. He loved to fish with his grandson and friends.

The RV Park at Renfro Valley, Ky., was his favorite camp ground.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., Sidney, with Pastor William Hewitt officiating. Burial will be at Houston Cemetery in Houston.
