Lois J. Pitsenbarger, 96, of Piqua, more recently of Hartselle, Alabama died October 11, 2016 at her residence. She was born July 10, 1920 in Miami County to the late Ora Lee and Clara Helen (Munger) Minton. She married Charles L. Pitsenbarger January 19, 1943 in Piqua and they enjoyed 55 years together. He preceded her in death March 6, 1998.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlyne (Homer) Ganger of New Knoxville, Sue (Dick Heron) Pitsenbarger of Danville, California, Vicki (Brady) Rodgers of Hartselle, Alabama; a sister, Leora Long of Greenville; two grandsons, Bryce (Heather) Rodgers, Brent Rodgers; two great grandchildren, Cassandra Rodgers and William Rodgers. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Willard Minton

Mrs. Pitsenbarger was a 1938 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She went on to work for Piqua National Bank as a banking clerk. Before moving to Alabama in 2008 she was an active member of Houston Congregational Christian Church where she was involved in the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed card clubs, community dances, camping traveling and bowling well into her 80s. She also enjoyed Volksmarches with her family as well as playing putter golf. Lois loved living in Alabama with Vicki and Brady, where she was able to spend precious time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed the loving attention of her caregiver for over eight years, Bonnie Winkle.

A service to honor her life will begin at 10 am Monday October 17, 2016 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery.
