TERESA ROETH, 53, of 5161 Roeth Rd. Houston, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on May 3, 1957 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Johnston) Stallard of Sidney.
On March 5, 1977 she married David Roeth, her husband of 33 years, who survives along with daughters Rachel (Andrew) Kunert of Houston, Leslie Roeth and Husband Andres Carrasco of Petulama, CA, and Bethany Roeth of Cincinnati, one sister, Judy (Douglas) Thobe of Houston, two brothers, Jerry (Terry) Stallard of LaMarque, TX, and Gary Stallard of Mechanicsburg, three grandchildren, Peyton, Spencer and Elena Kunert, and numerous other family members and dear friends.
Teresa's main interests were her family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and being with loved ones. Teresa's schedule and life centered around her family, especially her grandchildren. Her license plate read "Grandma's Hemi," but it really meant "Grandma's Taxi." Not often was she seen without at least one little blondie in tow.
Volunteering was something very important to Teresa. She tutored students at Hardin Elementary, mentored with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, Little Buddies, and St. John's Lutheran Church. Teresa also volunteered with Footprints on the Heart and various other organizations.
She worked at the Farmers Elevator Company, in Houston for over 30 years, was a former member of the Hardin-Houston School Board and an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Sidney.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Jonathan W. Schriber officiating. Burial will be at Houston Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave, Sidney, and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service, at the church.
Memorials may be made to Hardin-Houston Athletic Complex Fund, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shelby and Darke County, in memory of Teresa Roeth.
