Harvey was the son of Nelson P. Harvey and Fannie Mollencop. His first marriage was to Lucille Ferguson. He and Cecelia married 14 August 1930.
Cecelia was the daughter of F.D. Force and Jennie Mills and was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She was first married to a man with the surname of Wrisley.
