NEWPORT - Myrtle Short, 91, Ohio 66, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, of natural causes. Born Dec. 8, 1913, in Fort Loramie, Mrs. Short was the daughter of the late Bessie (nee Brown) and Harry Dobbins. She married Arthur George Short on June 18, 1932, and he died in 1977. Mrs. Short is survived by one son, Paul Short of Newport; one grandson, Ron Short of Newport; and one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Orville Chambers of Fort Loramie. She was preceded in death by one son, Earl Short; one brother, Delmer Robins; and one sister, Bertha Koverman. She was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Minster and was a homemaker. Funeral services will be Friday, June 3, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating. Burial will follow at Houston Cemetery, Houston. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Gehret Funeral Home, Ohio 362, Fort Loramie. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice Care
