Bettie A. Harrod age 78, of Troy, OH formerly of Bradford, OH. Died Monday, May 26, 2003 in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. She was born April 30, 1925 in Piqua, OH to Louis and Elizabeth Williams Black who preced her in death. Survivors include Three children, Michael Harrod of Louisville, KY; Melissa Harrod and Mart Harrod both of Troy, OH. Three sisters, Bendetta Ely of Piqua, OH; Delores Aselage of Sidney, OH and Alberta Kippert of Janesville, WI. Two grandchildren, Marsha Harrod and Jeremy Small both of Troy, OH. Two greatgrand children, Bruce Small and Anthony Cotrell both of Troy, OH. Debra Cotrell, special friend also survives. In addition to her parents, Bettie is preceded in death by Three children, Judith, Ronald and Marsha Harrod, Five brothers and Three sisters. Bettie attended United Church of Christ of Covington, attended Piqua Schools as a youngster and Retired in 1988 from Ivex Paper Co. after 13 years of service. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Miami County. Devoted Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma, You gave endlessly of yourself and shared unconditional love with all you came in touch with. We treasured our time with you and honor you with our devoted love. Your kindness and cheerful spirit will be greatly missed, but you are free to enjoy a better place. Signed - The Kids.
