Loretta M. Boyer, 76, Houston, died on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 2:20 am in The Pavilion, Sidney. She was born in Piqua on April 4, 1930 to the late Elmer and Clara (Scholl) Wagner. She married Clifford G. "Bud" Boyer on September 24, 1949 in Richmond, Indiana; and he survives.

Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Deb and Roger Wooddell of Sidney; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Cass Boyer of Sidney, Dan and Darla Boyer of Houston; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Ron Hardin of Piqua; and a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Leah Wagner of Grand Rapids, Mich. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Stewart.

Mrs. Boyer retired as a school bus driver for the Hardin-Houston School District and had also been employed as a nurses aide for Piqua Memorial Medical Center and Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was an active member of Houston Congregational Christian Church where she was a member of the choir and the Ladies Aide Committee. She was a member of the Shelby Co. Farm Bureau 9 mile Council, Houston Grange, and Women's Republican Party. In addition to her family she enjoyed gardening and cooking.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 10:00 am in Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. James Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Houston Cemetery.
