Margaret N. Bailey, 81, formerly of Houston, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Sidney, the daughter of the late Hamer and Nellie (Miltenberger) Boyer.
On Aug. 28, 1949, she married Raymond Bailey who preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 2001.
She is survived by one son, Rick R. Bailey and his wife Teresa of Piqua; and one daughter, Mrs. Randy (Linda) Levering of Piqua; one grandson, Rickey; and one sister, Lenora Elsner of Houston.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford "Bud" Boyer.
Margaret was a former member and commander of the DAV womens auxillary, and the Houston Grange. She loved to collect and repair antique dolls and loved to sew. Margaret was a member of the Houston Congregational Christian Church.
She was a former Avon representative and towards the end of her career, was a cook at the JVS in Piqua.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Houston Congregational Church with the Rev. James Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in the Houston Cemetery.
