ARTHUR "Art" L. FLINN 77, of 5645 Houston Rd. Houston, OH. passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 7:23 P.M. at his residence. He was born on June 24, 1930 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Norris and Nellie (Wick) Flinn. On July 15, 1949 he married Betty Jane Copeland who preceded him in death on November 20, 2006. He is survived by 3 children, Joe Flinn and his wife Lucy of Iola, WI., Mrs. Gary (Jackie) Cathcart , Ben Flinn and his wife Paulette both of Houston, Oh.,8 Grandchildren, Shaun and Kelly Flinn, Kevin Flinn, Trista and John Sears, Nick and Brooke Cathcart, Amanda Flinn, and Tommy Flinn,Bobbi Moore and Tim Moore, 7 Great-grandchildren, Roslin Flinn, Cole Flinn, Katelynn Rockwood and Lily Moore, Kaylee Masteller ,Isabelle Moore and Brynna Sears. 2 Brothers, Edmond Flinn of St. Marys, OH., and Donald Flinn of Vandalia, OH. also survive. Art was as a Supervisor for Ernst Aggreates in Piqua ,and retired in 1989 after 40 years of servivce. Mr.Flinn was a member of the Houston Congregational Christian Church and a member of the Houston Fire Department. Art served on the first committee to initiate the 911 Emergency System in Shelby County.He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman who loved hunting,fishing and baseball. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10 A.M. from the Houston Congregational Christian Church with Pastor James Manuel officiating. Burial will be at Houston Cemetery in Houston.
