MRS. ADA DOREN DIES AT HOUSTON
Mrs. Ada Doren, 83, widow of Samuel H. Doren, died Tuesday night in her home in Houston. Death followed a long period of failing health with a heart complication. Her condition had become more serious during the past four months but was not considered critical until shortly before death claimed her at 7 o'clock.
She was the mother of Ford Doren, of this city; Forest Doren, of Northville, Michigan, and the step-mother of Mrs. J. M. Hiegel, of Troy. They mourn her passing with six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Harold McGee (Betty Doren) of this city is a granddaughter, and little Jane McGee, of Sidney, is a great-granddaughter.
Mrs. Ada Scammon Doren was a daughter of Edwin and Mary Scammon, born May 4, 1865, at Bronson, in Huron county. She resided there and in Hartland Center until her marriage with Samuel H. Doren, of Houston, on August 16, 1891.
Her husband preceded her in death, passing away 18 years ago.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Mt. Jefferson.
Funeral rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Dearth funeral home. Rev. John W. Meister, of the Sidney Presbyterian church, will officiate. Interment will be made at Houston.
