Daniel Francis Lightfoot, born Feb 10, 1899, Knox Twp., son of George Wilson Lightfoot and Flora Mae Cheadle; Daniel was second of eleven children born to George Wilson and his two wives
Ethel Mae Murray, born Aug 13, 1900, Oreton, daughter of Lewis R. Murray and Dora Mae Riffle; Ethel was the oldest of eight children
Daniel married Ethel on Oct 21, 1919, Vinton County
They were the parents of 11 children, four of their sons are buried at Radcliff, but only one with a marked grave:
Alma Jeanette, b Jan 7, 1920 (married Clarence J. Ousley, 7 children, they are buried at Elk Cemetery)
Chester, b Sep 30, 1921; Chester is buried at Radcliff
Donald Marvin, b May 20, 1925; Donald enlisted in the US Navy on July 28, 1943, Donald and his family are buried at Ridgewood Cemetery, Wellston
Raymond Wilson, b June 29, 1927; Raymond enlisted in the US Army on Jan 31, 1945. Raymond is buried at Sunrise Memorial Garden, Muskegon, Michigan
Flora Elizabeth, b June 17, 1930; Flora married Edward Coffey, Jr.; they are buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Zaleski
Anna Marie, b Oct 2, 1932; Anna married Lawrence Zimmerman, 3 children; they are buried at Radcliff
Dora Rose, b Sep 12, 1938; Dora married Clarence Skeens, Jr., 5 children. Clarence is buried at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Coalton
Harry Dale, b June 30, 1940; Harry was born after his father's death; married Linda Griffith, 6 children
Three sons, Edwin (1Y 2M 25D, 1928), Daniel Francis, Jr. (9M, 1935), and Charles (2Y 5D, 1938) are buried at Radcliff with no stone
Daniel Francis, Veteran of World War I & highway worker, was killed in an auto accident on US Route 50 near McArthur on his 41st birthday Feb 10, 1940; he sustained a broken neck and fractured skull. His father was the informant, DC #13911
Ethel Mae raised their children in Dundas; she died Tuesday, Nov 14, 1967 at Holzer Hospital, 67 Y. She was survived by her mother, Dora Mae, four daughters, Alma, Flora Elizabeth, Annie & Dora Rose, two sons, Raymond and Harry, one brother, Elbert, and two sisters, Kathleen and Chloe, and 25 grandchildren.
Ethel's brother, Robert Leo Murray (1910-1940) is buried at Radcliff
George Wilson (1874-1956) and Flora Mae Cheadle (1879-1914) Lightfoot are buried at Bowen Cemetery.
Lewis (1873-1955) and Dora Mae Riffle (1879-1969) Murray are buried at Hamden Cemetery
