HADDIX, Daniel "Danny" 73, of Lakeview, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born November 4, 1935 in Urbana, OH, the son Hobart and Jane (Shockey) Haddix. He retired from Columbia Gas in 1993 after 35 years. He was a handyman and often used his mechanical ability to help family friends and neighbors. Danny was also a member of the Indian Lake Eagles and Moose Lodge. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed taking the family out boating on the lake and especially spending time with Sharon, his kids and grandkids. Danny is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sharon; daughter, Dana Royse of Springfield; son, Kris Haddix of Springfield; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenna and James Royse; two great grandchildren, Alexis and Ashley Royse; brother, Charles (Sophie) Haddix of Urbana, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Haddix; and step daughter Nicole Dunn. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, June 19, 2009 in VERNON FUNERAL HOME in Urbana. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2009 in the funeral home with Pastor Peter Bellini and lay speaker, Jeff Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Terre Haute Cemetery.
