Evan E. Baker, 86, of Springfield, died on Friday, November 22, 2013, in his residence. He was born on June 8, 1927, in Champaign County, OH, the son of Harry L. and Helen (Gentis) Baker. Evan was a Westville High School graduate and a member of the Harmony Lodge F & AM #8. He retired from IH after 40 years and was also a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Donna (Whited), who he married September 14, 1950; daughters, Terry Campbell of Phoenix, AZ, Robin Jackson and husband David of Springfield, OH, Cindy Heitman and husband Bob of Urbana, Kimberly Kelley and husband Jeff of San Ramon, CA, and Rusty Cavallaro and husband Louis of London, OH; 8 granddaughters; and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Jerry Campbell. A service will be held at the convenience of the family, who is being served by WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Evan's memory to Community
