Dwight E. McLaughlin, 21, born May 28, 1897 Arbaugh, Ohio, enlisted in the National Army on Aug 5, 1918, at McArthur; rank of private, served with Co M, 4th Battalion, 1st Gas Regiment, Chemical Warfare Service, until honorably discharged on Jan 14, 1919. Dwight was in training at Camp Sherman when the Armistice was signed.
Married Parnie Mabel Barnes on Nov 12, 1929; parents of Dwight Elwood, Duane Barnes, and Margaret Ann
