John Irwin was the Assessor of Madison Township in Highland County, Ohio 21 years by 1871.
Hester Limes, born July 1, 1814, was the second oldest daughter and one of nine children born to William and Athaliah Doster Limes of New Martinsburg, Fayette County, Ohio. She married John Irwin, son of William Irwin, Sr. and Margaret (McCormack) Irwin who were buried at the Sheep Pen (“AKA” Gustin “AKA” Limes) Cemetery about three miles northwest of Greenfield lying just off of the Greenfield-Sabina Road.
