H. Elston, 70, of St. Paris, died Thursday, March 19, 1992 at 12:03 a.m. in Mercy Medical Center, Springfield.
Born September 23 1921, in Champaign County, he was a son of John Robert and Vera (Niece) Barger.
He was married to Helen Ruth O'Dell on June 15-, 1962. She preceded him in death on November 18, 1987.
He was engaged in farming and was a retired employee of the New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail Railroad Systems.
He was a 1939 graduate of St. Paris High School and was a member of the K of P Lodge No. 433 of Westville and the National Riflemen's Assoc.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 pm in the Richeson-Wickham & Atkins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Stewart of the First Christian Church of Urbana officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris
