Marjorie E. Davis, 83, of Piqua, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, at Covington Care Center, Covington.
She was born July 15, 1922, in Bradford, to the late William R. and Elizabeth (Fields) Brining. She married Alvin H. Davis in February 1946. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1985.
She is survived by one son, Thomas A. Davis of Piqua; three brothers, Donald Brining of Greenville, Richard Fields, Muncie, Ind. and Newton Brining of Sidney; and one sister, Joan Schaffner of Sidney.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice L Davis in 1962; two brothers, Thomas Brining and Kenneth Brining; and two sisters, Thelma E. (Brinkman) King and Catherine Mauer.
Marjorie worked in the Dietary Department of Piqua Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Family of Grace United Methodist Church, Piqua.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua, with the Rev. Jack Chalk officiating. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
